EFFECTIVENESS OF WHITE PROPOLIS ON THE MICROBIOME

Since its earliest days, Ballot-Flurin has focused on innovating while respecting nature and sentient beings. White propolis, with its patented aqueous extract, offers a gentle, multi-purpose solution suited to children, pregnant women, and sensitive skin.

  • As the microbiome emerges as a pillar of overall health, we conducted research to better understand and demonstrate the impact of this unique extract on the balance of skin, oral, and intimate microbiomes.
  • Explore the results of this study and its practical applications.

Our research into Gentle Beekeeping®

Ballot-Flurin has always innovated while respecting bees, their environment, and natural cycles, through Gentle Beekeeping®, a unique and demanding method. It is built around:

  • Beekeeping as a partner of nature: Hives are placed in unspoiled areas, away from pollution, in harmony with local ecosystems.
  • Gentle, stress-free harvesting: We respect the bees' own rhythm by avoiding the use of pollen traps or excessive smoking, and we only collect their surplus.
  • Age-old energetic practices: Inspired by beekeeping traditions and reinforced by our research, our methods protect the natural vitality of the materials harvested.

Our research into Energizing

Ballot-Flurin has always placed the vitality and effectiveness of its preparations at the heart of its innovation. Energizing, the result of our pioneering research, amplifies the natural benefits of hive products.

  • More effective, better-tolerated preparations: Thanks to the natural vibrations of bees and manual mixing, our products show improved biological activity, greater effectiveness, and optimized tolerance for all skin types and sensitive individuals.
  • Enhanced sensory quality: Our energizing processes improve the taste, smell, and texture of our preparations, making each product both powerful and pleasant to use.
  • Extended natural shelf life: Our unique techniques, such as our energizing airlock chamber or environmental energizing, extend the shelf life of active materials without adding artificial preservatives, all while preserving their vitality.

Our University Collaborations

University of Angers: Séverine Boisard's Thesis

Antifungal and antibacterial metabolites from a French poplar-type propolis

In her thesis at the University of Angers, Séverine Boisard explored the exceptional antioxidant properties of French propolis, in particular that produced by Ballot-Flurin. Her research also revealed powerful antifungal and antibacterial activity, particularly against resistant strains such as Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). This work, carried out in collaboration with our company, highlights the effectiveness of propolis as a natural ingredient for innovative solutions in the fields of health and well-being.

University of Bordeaux: Anne Guillerin's Thesis

The natural mineral water of Cauterets: properties and uses

As part of her Pharmacy thesis at the University of Bordeaux, Anne Guillerin is studying the exceptional properties of Cauterets thermal water. This naturally hot (up to 50°C), sulfurous sodium-rich water is recognized for its benefits in rheumatology, ENT (ear, nose, and throat), and dermatology.

Her research, connected to our new Apithermale Pyrénées cosmetics line, highlights the healing, muscle-relaxing, and circulation-boosting properties of this water, rich in sulfur, silica, and trace elements. Thanks to her work, our range combines the benefits of apitherapy and thermal spa therapy for innovative, effective products.

"At Ballot-Flurin, we don't carry out research and development in the classic sense of the term. We create living preparations, born from artisanal know-how, energized through intention and respect for natural cycles. Innovation, for us, is the hand, the listening ear, and the passing on of knowledge."
